Wooden-hulled steamship, built for American SS Co. in 1867. In 1871, it was sold to Brazil (U.S. & Brazil Mail SS Co). Wooden-hulled Steamship that provided Postal service between Brazil and the USA. It was heading to Rio de Janeiro when on the night of 01/02/1873, it shipwrecked after a fire on board. It is at a depth of 18m and is frequently visited by divers.
