[Source 1] Date of the newspaper publication. "Drowned in the port" of the capital was the Englishman William Knight, who belonged to the crew of the Hanoverian brig, which was anchored in the port. The Englishman fell into the water, and even though he was rescued and attended by Dr. Cordeiro, he ended up dying.
