16th / 17th century. Part of the Almenara tower system on the coast of Huelva.
Conservation status
Declared Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) with the category of Monument (code RI-51-0007829). The current conservation status is not detailed in the sources, but many of these towers are in a state of ruin or deterioration.

Main characteristics
Coastal tower built for surveillance and defense against Barbary pirates. It was part of a network that included other nearby towers such as San Jacinto and Zalabar. Its function was to warn about the presence of enemy ships through smoke signals (day) or fire (night).
