Description
National steel Steamship, 53m long, shipwrecked on August 19, 1899, loaded with salt from Mossoró and cotton from Paraíba. It is dismantled.
Notes
[Source 1] Only briefly reports the shipwreck of the Alice. [Source 2] Provides information concerning the insurance of the cotton cargo that was being transported by the Alice. According to the news, the company Ribeiro Irmão & C.ª insured 818 sacks of cotton on August 18th with Companhia de Seguros Paraense. On August 19th, the Alice shipwrecked, and by the 28th of the same month, the insured were reimbursed. [Source 3] Steamship belonging to the Gram-pará shipping company.
