Description

American galley (also called a barque in the source) loaded with over 3,000 barrels of fish oil.

Notes

After the shipwreck, the port captain was requested to send the naval rescue launch and other vessels that could assist in transporting the rescued cargo to the province's port. The Chief of Police was requested to proceed in protecting the cargo against theft. The barque was commanded by Mercator Cooper. See: Sources/Newspapers: #JRN-39
