In editions No. 1306, 1308, and 1309, there is an announcement with the following words: "For Wednesday of this month - To be held in this city, at the customs house door with the authorization of the Illm. Mr. Inspector, in the presence of an employee of the same department, and with the assistance of the vice-consul of Portugal in this province and the delegate of the French consul in Pernambuco, of the hull and other belongings, in the state in which they are found, of the French barque Marie, Captain S. Ournier, shipwrecked on the 14th of this month south of the bar of this city, on its recent voyage from Cette to Pernambuco. Parahyba January 19, 1967." Of the rest of the salvage from the French barque such as spars, masts, empty water casks, a boat, etc., etc. At the door of the customs house of this city with the authorization of Mr. customs inspector, in the presence of employees of this department and the delegate of the French consul in Pernambuco.
