On February 16, 2021, the Cooperation Agreement between the Museu Virtual Marítimo do Extremo Oriental das Américas - Museu EXEA / Brazil and the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar - IPT / Portugal was formalized. Both institutions have been working together since the second half of 2019, when Museu EXEA was still a project and in its Prototype No. 1. One of the preliminary results of this partnership was established, through Prof. Alexandra Figueiredo, with the creation of maps developed exclusively for Museu Marítimo EXEA, contributing to the enrichment of the Databases. These were built in the ArcGIS program, Esri, aiming to demonstrate the positioning of the shipwrecked vessels indicated by the investigations.
