The Museu Marítimo EXEA is pleased to announce the launch of its newest digital resource: the ""Fortificações"" database. This online platform brings together an extensive collection of information about defensive structures that played important roles in maritime history, with special attention to constructions along the Atlantic coast and in its vicinity.

The database offers users easy access to content that includes: historical data, architectural characteristics, geographical locations, conservation status, and satellite images. The objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of the strategic importance and current state of these important witnesses of the past.
