The course "Maritime Cultural Heritage" will be offered in a social partnership between Campus Cabedelo / Instituto Federal da Paraíba - IFPB and Museu Marítimo EXEA. It is an extension activity, in the free course category, approved in Call for Proposals No. 02/2021 - Continuous Flow of IFPB. The course will promote, through education, awareness about the importance of safeguarding this heritage, which marks the relationship between human beings and the seas and oceans. It has a duration of 30 class hours, being approximately 5 class hours per week (2 synchronous hours and 3 hours of asynchronous activities), totaling 6 weeks of course. The course content is divided into two parts, the first being "Basic" (10h), covering themes such as memory, identity, and heritage in a general way, without specifying; and the second, "Maritime Cultural Heritage", addressing concept, spatial and temporal dimensions, Maritime culture in classical literature, typology, linked legislation, sciences involved in study and Safeguarding.
