Closing out 2022, the EXEA Maritime Museum presented the exhibition "People of the Salt," the third contribution by photographer António José Cravo to our collection. This time, his lens turned to the salt pan workers of Figueira da Foz, Portugal, capturing the essence of an ancestral labor. The exhibition was enriched with an introduction by researcher Gilda Saraiva, contextualizing salt production in the region, and a poem by Cravo himself, which poetically dialogues with his black and white photographs.
