The Museu Marítimo EXEA had the pleasure of actively participating in the 18th edition of Primavera dos Museus, a national event coordinated by the Instituto Brasileiro de Museus (IBRAM), which took place in September 2024. With the theme ""Memories and Democracy: LGBT+, indigenous, and quilombola people"", the initiative invited museums from all over Brazil to develop special programs aimed at reflecting on diversity, citizenship, and the role of memory in building a more just and inclusive society.

Aligned with the national proposal, Museu EXEA integrated the program by offering two exhibitions that sought to establish bridges between the maritime universe, its collection, and discussions about memories and rights. Participation in Primavera dos Museus reinforces EXEA's commitment to being a space for dialogue, knowledge, and social engagement, contributing to the valorization of the diverse narratives that make up our history.
