March brought to Museu Marítimo EXEA the sensitivity of António José Cravo's gaze with the photographic exhibition "Ir ao Mar". In impactful Black and white images, Cravo documents the ancestral technique of launching fishing boats into the sea, a moment of tension and skill where the "arrais" (boat masters) carefully assess the maritime conditions. The photographs were captured on the beaches of Torreira, Mira, and Costa de Lavos, in Portugal, revealing the intimate and challenging relationship between men and the ocean. The exhibition is a tribute to the wisdom and courage of artisanal fishermen.
