This document aims to provide guidance and directives to the municipal body on how to deal with the issue of rubber bales originating from World War II shipwrecks found near the Northeast coast. 

The document was constructed based on scientific research being carried out by research and higher education institutions in the Northeast region of Brazil. It presents a historical and bibliographic survey conducted by the Museu Marítimo EXEA on the origins of the shipwrecks and bales, explaining in the same way their materiality and importance, as well as the eventual possibility of musealizing such objects.
