Through contacts established with the Marinha do Brazil by Dr. Giovanna Wanderley and, subsequently, by Dr. Ticiano Alves, both from Museu Marítimo EXEA, in response to a research request, the Head of the History Department, belonging to the Diretoria do Patrimônio Histórico e Documentação da Marinha do Brazil, Captain Paulo Castro, transmitted information regarding shipwrecks on the coast of the States of Pernambuco, Paraíba, and Rio Grande do Norte. The data in question are part of the Atlas of Shipwrecks of Historical Interest of the Brazilian Coast Project. Due to the methodological differences between the Atlas research and that of Museu Marítimo EXEA, it was decided to create exclusive databases for this data, which are already available for consultation. We thank the Marinha do Brazil for its immense contribution to the enrichment and deepening of knowledge about maritime cultural heritage. Museu Marítimo EXEA remains firm in promoting knowledge of human relations with the Atlantic, and this data will contribute to our mission. We dedicate a special thanks to Commander Ricardo Guimarães, responsible for the Underwater Archaeology Division of the Marinha do Brazil, who endeavored to separate the data so that it could reach Museu EXEA. #database #museuexea #marinhadoBrazil #shipwrecks
