The EXEA Maritime Museum has a new look

Monday, May 10, 2021

Two months after its inauguration, the EXEA Maritime Museum gained its visual identity, created by students from the higher education course in Graphic Design at the Federal Institute of Paraíba - IFPB, Cabedelo Campus. The team proposed something different and abstract, built upon elements linked to navigation. We opted for an abstract mark, inspired by six objects related to the nautical area, namely: the lighthouse beam, the bow of a ship, the points of the compass rose (specifically those indicating Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, and Southeast), the Maltese cross (related to the historical context of Brazil's discovery), the letter X (from the x in EXEA), and the arrowheads (pointing inwards, giving the idea of location). The use of the lighthouse beams was to symbolize illumination, the guide of knowledge. Let's talk a little about the designers involved in building the Museum's brand: Caio Matheus, 22 years old, a technician in Digital Game Programming from IFRN Campus Ceará - Mirim, currently a student of Graphic Design at IFPB Cabedelo Campus. Paloma Viturino, 23 years old, born in the city of Cabedelo, Paraíba. A student of the higher education course in Graphic Design at the Federal Institute of Paraíba. Graduated in Fisheries Resources Technician from the same institution. Laura Siqueira Lopes, 22 years old, resident of the city of Itaquaquecetuba, São Paulo. Graphic design student at the Federal Institute of Paraíba. André Lucas 22 Years old, technician in Environment from IFPB - Cabedelo Campus. Graphic Design student at the Federal Institute of Paraíba. Taking advantage of this beautiful work, we decided to remodel the Museum, bringing more attractive visual resources. #news #museum
