This database is being built to serve as a compendium of Atlantic Shipwrecks. In this way, it catalogs shipwrecked vessels throughout the ocean's maritime history, promoting preservation and dissemination.

The database covers shipwrecks located in both hemispheres, encompassing both the North Atlantic Ocean and the South Atlantic. For the south, there is a concentration of data for shipwrecks on the Brazilian coast.
